Aspiring Travel Writers Get Inside Scoop –
Recently Barbara Wayman of BlueTree Media addressed students at The Ohio
State University School of Communication about how to become a professional
travel writer. Barbara’s own journey as a travel writer began at the school,
and has since taken her all over the globe.
She shared an inside look at what magazine travel writing is
really like and answered questions about her experiences on the road. In May she
will address spring semester students, marking her third time before the class.

Barbara Wayman Teams up with AAA for Celebrity Travel Features - In addition to writing travel magazine articles, BTM’s Barbara Wayman is now doing regular celebrity interviews. She has teamed up with AAA’s Home & Away magazine to help launch their new Celebrity Travel Series. Each issue of the magazine now features a look at a destination through the eyes of a colorful personality.
The series began in January with Barbara’s piece on top model Jessica Hart’s favorite destination – the Hamptons. Find out Jessica’s favorite hot spots here. In March the series will feature Barbara’s piece on award winning celebrity chef Hubert Keller.
